U.S. Army Chaplain OCP Sew-On Collar/Cap Insignia – New 2026 Configuration
Updated to meet the U.S. Army’s 2026 Chaplain Corps uniform guidance. Under Army Directive 2026-16, Army chaplains will discontinue wearing rank insignia on the Army Combat Uniform (ACU), with the Chaplain branch insignia moving to a position of prominence.
The Chaplain insignia is worn on both collars of the ACU and is also authorized for placement on the patrol cap and beret. Subdued sew-on Chaplain insignia may be worn on the ACU collar in accordance with current Army guidance.
This change applies to chaplains serving in the Regular Army, Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve. Chaplains retain their military rank and status as commissioned officers.
